Grind, Brew, Compete: The Ultimate Coffee Throwdown Returns!

Ipswich is buzzing with excitement once again following the success of the 2024 Coffee Art Throwdown! Independent coffee company Paddy & Scott’s is back, hosting their second thrilling event at their Ipswich Waterfront Cafe this coming April.

Known for their innovative approach, Paddy & Scott’s prioritises fair wages for the coffee farmers they partner with—a commitment evident throughout their entire supply chain. Their flexible approach to recruitment ensures a passionate and values-driven team, acting as the catalyst for their success and mission to change the world one cup at a time.

What to Expect:

Twelve talented baristas will face off in a knockout tournament to determine the best pour, offering an adrenaline-pumping spectacle as intense as a Saturday night watching Gladiators! Registered competitors hail from esteemed places such as Honey & Harvey, Fork Hadleigh, Applaud Coffee and Gough Hotels.

Competitors can enter for just £5, while spectators can enjoy the caffeine-charged action for free. This celebration of coffee culture, supported by sponsors such as Conti and LA Brewery, promises top-tier coffee artistry, an exciting showdown, and an electric atmosphere.

Incredible giveaways from Moma, Birchall, and IBC Simply, along with enticing prizes from Jaguar Beverage make this event even more enticing.

Supporting a Great Cause:

This year, proceeds will support the charity Inspire, which focuses on guiding young people away from uncertain futures towards pathways that promote wellbeing, professional development, and personal growth. Donation buckets will be available throughout the event.
